Mayor Trajanovski visited the Municipality of Aerodrom

The Mayor of the City of Skopje, Koce Trajanovski, together with the managers of the public city enterprises, yesterday, December 1, 2011, visited the Municipality of Aerodrom, and had a working meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Aerodrom, Ivica Konevski, the heads of the municipal administration staff, and the secretaries of urban and local communities.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the cooperation between the City of Skopje and the Municipality of Aerodrom in the realization of capital projects and also to arrange future joint projects.
Also, these meetings give an opportunity to citizens to suggest through the local and urban communities projects that could be included in the 2012 Budget of the City of Skopje.
Among the problems presented by secretaries of urban and local communities to the Skopje mayor, there were issues about stray dogs, increasing the water level in wells for watering of green public spaces, cutting trees, installing awnings on bus stops, extending the regular bus line from Gorno Lisice to Dolno Lisice, improving the water supply in rural areas, replacement of stolen manhole, which was highlighted as the major request of the Municipality of Aerodrom to the City of Skopje.
Regarding the requests for cutting down trees that obstruct the citizens’ everyday lives, Mayor Trajanovski said that the requests have to bear a seal of the community of owners (tenants' councils), and as to the awnings on bus stops, he said that next year they would be completely reconstructed.
As for stealing manhole covers, which has lately become a regular occurrence, at the meeting it was said that the PE "Roads and Streets" had already replaced them with new ones, and the citizens may report any new cases on the free phone number 0800 22 555.
Mayor Trajanovski’s visit to the Municipality of Aerodrom was part of his sixth round of visits to Skopje municipalities.
