Saso Petkovski - Zeko, President of the Council of the Municipality of Aerodrom
Saso Petkovski-Zeko, President of the Council of the Municipality of Aerodrom, was unanimously elected on his position on the 71st session held on November 26, 2007.
“I am proud to have become the first President of the Council of the Municipality of Aerodrom, who has signed 16 detailed urban plans at once. Their implementation will enable accelerated development of the Municipality and a better life for the citizens“, stated Saso Petkovski, after the first session he had headed.
He was born on June 8, 1965, in Skopje, and his vocation is a traffic technician. He has been employed at the Agency for Youth and Sport since 1999. Today, he is working in the sector for sport. His CV states that he was a councilor to the first Minister of Youth and Sport, Gjorgji Boev. He is a member of the political party of VMRO-DPMNE.
Apart from his professional engagement in the field of sport, Saso Petkovski-Zeko is an acknowledge sportsman himself. He used to play football for several Macedonian football clubs, and in several matches with his colleagues from the Council of the Municipality of Aerodrom he defended the Municipality colors.
In 1988, he played for an Austrian football club with the Macedonian migrants in “Macedonia Preston”. The Macedonian clubs for which he played are FC “Vardar”, “Rabotnicki – Kometal“, “Sloga”, “Balkan Stokokomerc”.
Today, he is a senior football coach with a diploma, and, as he says, he even got his nickname Zeko playing football. His commitment is to provide the implementation of as many as possible projects for improvement of sport life in the Municipaity of Aerodrom.
