The draft version of the Local Ecological Action Plan for the Municipality of Aerodrom (LEAP) has been posted on the municipal website, www.aerodrom.gov.mk, where the citizens within about thirty days will be able to consider the prepared material and to submit their remarks, in order for the final version of the LEAP to be prepared.

The presentation of this document to the public and collection of the additional proposals and suggestions, which are expected to increase the quality and transparency of the LEAP, is the final stage before its adoption.

The Municipality of Aerodrom prepared the draft version of the LEAP in the period from 2008 to 2009, with the participation of many experts from various fields, citizens, representatives of tenants’ councils, NGO sector, as well as representatives of the Council of the Municipality of Aerodrom and the municipal administration, whereby several opinion polls were carried out with more than 600 questioned persons.

In the following few weeks, the citizens can submit proposals and suggestions on the following e-mail addresses:

The preparation of the LEAP in the Municipality of Aerodrom will contribute to eliminating the problems related to the environment, pollution and improvement of the air quality, water purification, waste management, urban development and space planning, raising of the public awareness for environment protection and promotion, as well as keeping the citizens well informed about the social and economic development, all this through the promotion of sustainable development.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Aerodrom, Ivica Konevski, today, June 2, 2009, at a ceremony granted certificates for onetime financial aid to about fifty families with newborn babies.

“This is the second time for me to grant certificates for onetime financial aid of 5,000 MKD to families from the Municipality of Aerodrom with newborn babies. With this modest sum we want to help at least a bit to the young parents and send a message that we care of our youngest residents”, Mayor Konevski stated, adding that a proof of that are the twenty new, modern children’s playgrounds under construction at the moment in all the settlements in the municipality.

Since the beginning of 2009, the Municipality of Aerodrom has got 177 new residents, 83 of whom are boys, while 94 are girls, which shows that there is a tendency of increase in the number of female newborn babies.

The onetime financial aid is being granted on the basis of submitted requests by the families to the Municipality of Aerodrom with the proper documentation, which will confirm the birth of the new family member and the resident address on the territory of the Municipality of Aerodrom.

On June 4, 5 and 6, 2009, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., in the Municipality of Aerodrom, on the locality opposite the Biser shopping mall, the citizens will be able to follow the three-hour performances provided with the program of the Buskerfest 2009 Festival - Skopje.

Organizer of the festival of street artists and musicians is the Civic Association for Entertainment and Event Production – ONE WAY, while the Municipality of Aerodrom supported the festival with a donation of 1,500 EUR in denar currency. The funds have been provided with the Budget of the Municipality.

Buskerfest is a festival featuring international artists, performers, acrobats, bikers, and musicians, an event where versatile theatrical shows are performed.

The Council of the Municipality of Aerodrom decided to support this event, because such a festival of street artists and musicians contributes to bigger interest of the citizens in cultural events, and to improvement of the local economic development, not only in the municipalities, but also in the City of Skopje, by enriching the tourist offer.

Yesterday, June 3, 2009, with the installation of the second asphalt layer, the asphalting of Petar Acev Street in the settlement of Micurin was completed.

The 400-meter-long and 6-meter-wide street has been asphalted. The civil works were contracted by the Granit company. The funds were provided from the Budget of the Municipality of Aerodrom.

In the following period, after the installation of the low voltage network for public lighting and relocation of the poles by EVN, it is expected to start the building of pavements on both sides of the street.

The City Brass Orchestra, organized by MKC, yesterday, June 3, 2009, held a one-hour concert of evergreen music in front of the Biser shopping mall in the Municipality of Aerodrom.

The concert was followed by numerous audience, which had fun listening to pieces of classic and jazz music, waltzes and evergreens.

This practice of the City Brass Orchestra to represent itself in different municipalities has already become a tradition, which is regularly conducted each year.

На улицата „Петар Ацев“ во населбата Мичурин се интензивираа градежните работи за подготовка на оваа сообраќајница за асфалтирање.

Во моментов, екипи на ГП „Гранит“ работат на поставување тампон слој на коловозот. На оваа улица се отстранети оштетувањата на подземната инфраструктура што настанаа при изведба на градежните работи за подготовка на оваа сообраќајница за асфалтирање. Исто така, екипи на ЈП „Паркови и зеленило“ ги сечат дрвјата кои пречат целосно да се изведе трасата на оваа улица.

Претходно, на оваа улица, долга 430 метри и со ширина на коловозот 6 метри, беше поставена фекална и атмосферска канализација.

Откако ќе се асфалтира коловозот на оваа улица, од двете нејзини страни ќе се постават тротоари од павер елементи со широчина од 1,5 метри.

Средствата за нејзина комплетна реконструкција се издвоени од Буџетот на Општина Аеродром.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Aerodrom, Ivica Konevski and the Minister of Education and Science, Pero Stojanovski, tomorrow, June 9, 2009 (Tuesday) at 11.30 a.m. in the Municipality of Aerodrom, will hold a joint press conference.

A topic of the press conference is the symbolical marking of the end of the school year, with the announcement of a joint project of the two institutions.
