IVICA KONEVSKI, MAYOR OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF AERODROM

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Ivica Konevski officially took office as a Mayor of the Municipality of Aerodrom on April 7, 2009, having won in the first round of the local elections on March 22, 2009.
Ivica Konevski was born on December 14, 1978, in Skopje.
He has graduated from the Faculty of Law within the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, obtaining thereby a professional title of Holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Law, and he has also passed the State Judicial Exam.
In the period from 2005 to 2006, he was a member of the Council of the City of Skopje. In 2006, he was appointed CEO of the Public Enterprise for Management of Residential and Commercial Properties of the Republic of Macedonia.
He used to be a Chairman of the Board of Directors of the City Shopping Mall.  
In the period since his appointing as a director, the Public Enterprise for Management of Residential and Commercial Properties recorded increased development, huge progress, fair and uncorrupted operation, resulting in increased enterprise capacities and implementation of numerous significant projects, such as construction of many social benefit and commercial apartments and apartments for young married couples in the Municipality of Aerodrom, construction of the north stand of the City Stadium, and beginning of the procedure for complete reconstruction of the “Arena Filip II” stadium in Skopje.
In addition to this, Ivica Konevski has been the first to introduce “ISO” quality standards to the Public Enterprise for Management of Residential and Commercial Properties, making it the first Macedonian public enterprise to have this type of standards.
Ivica Konevski is considered a young and dynamic politician and manager with a European code of behavior, a perfectionist in his work, possessing abilities for teamwork and multicultural environment work, creative, flexible, inventive, expedite, with a clear concept for the future of the Municipality of Aerodrom
